BUSINESS PROBLEM
One of the main parts of Connector, an API gateway conduit for HealthEdge, is integrating with an external correspondence providers. While the templating and printing of letter is done by the 3rd Party product, Connector allows generation of the scheduled data extracts. The extracts are XML files. Hencce, user is required to edit XML files and set up rules, cronjobs etc inside those files. While this provided flexibility, it is very error prone and not business use friendly. Moreover, Business Analysts need to depend on Technical Analysts to do the trivial changes to the XML files.
SOLUTION
We set out to work with the Business Analysts, Technical Analysts and Product Owners to design a UI that can manage those complicated XML editing workflows. The team researched and came up with multiple concepts out of which one was finalized.
MY ROLE
I provided supervision, user feedback cycles and design direction. The majority of the work was done by two person team who reported to me.
