BUSINESS PROBLEM
HealthEdge's clients are Health Care Insurance companies whose main IT goal is auto claim adjudication. When HealthEdge has to onboard a new client, a lot of work goes through Professional Services. Upon implementation, not all the claims that come are in standard format. In order to make a file a standard format, it needs to go through some clean up and templating. Then the templates are used for automated jobs for other files to conform the Payor standard. Now this tool was command line based and becoming archaic. Senior configuration specialists would end up making a lot of mistakes. Hence a UI was needed on top of it.
MY ROLE / SOLUTION
I drove the entire end to end UX exercise on this project. I and a UX contractor, who I hired, worked closely with VP of Professional Services, understood the business problem, researched with existing users and prepared journey and empathy maps. We then, went on to draw some paper concepts which we quickly evaluated with internal stakeholders. Coming up with clickable HiFi prototypes was a quick turnaround and the UI was quickly built.
